Harvest Moon: Connect to New Worlds

Hello guys! There is now the existence of a new Harvest Moon Game!
It's tentative rough translation seems to be Harvest Moon: Connect to New Worlds or something along those lines. What the final translating company will do with the title, we'll see if it gets a North American Release!

So for this game, it seems to be that the game's focus will be that you can trade with farmers from around the world (we have yet to find out what that means) and sell your produce to them.
There also seems to be a Safari system in which you can raise new and what I find a bit odd and strange animals. It seems all of these animals do exist outside of the Harvest Moon world and Marvelous has gone to .. animating them.

According to various web sources and fan forums that I've been.. stalking.. it seems that customization of your farm is back from A New Beginning. But all of the actual building will be done by the blacksmith! Here are some images of you purchasing such construction items and organizing your home:

 You can customize your own character, your farm and even your own farmhouse this time. As for customization for the town, I'm 50% sure you can. It can swing either ways. They have also implemented rival farming. Apparently two of the rival farmers have been released. Famitsu has posted their pictures which I will post here. 

How she will farm in that dress, beats me. She probably wouldn't even fit through the far door.. personallly.

I personally thought they looked a little young, but what they hey! So do our characters! Speaking of our characters, these will be the main characters you can play. A gamer can choose between a girl or a boy and as I believe I mentioned above (or not) character customization is possible. The customization now includes hats and glasses and maybe other types of accessories. Apparently up to three is allowed to be worn at the same time. Kind of reminds of Harvest Moon Animal Parade no? For a girl like me, it just sweetens the deals and makes me hang at the edge of my seat to get my gritty greedy hands on this game.  The default design is here taken from the official Japanese website of the game:

So now we know how our virtual faces will look like while we're picking up turnips and brushing cows, but how will our future spouses and children look like??!?!?! Well, all of the information for that hasn't been released yet, but so far we have two bachelors and two bachelorettes that have been released for this game. The Bachelors So Far

So this beautiful guy is a waiter/chef. His name seems to spell Ren or something like that. (My Japanese has gotten very shabby over the years). His dream is to open his own restaurant or is running is own right now (can't remember to precisely). His personality is serious but kind and has random moments of humor!  

Speaking of Beautiful, here's the other guy. In Japanese is something like Klaus. He's personally my favorite so far because he doesn't't look like a little kid (and I'm not a little kid anymore hehehe). Now he has a very strange but perhaps lucrative job of making and fusing perfumes. Such a strange occupation for a dashing man, but his job makes it debatable among some Harvest Moon Fans that perfumes will play an important role in this game.

Now the Lovely Ladies

I think my bad Japanese says her name is Ririe. She's supposedly the older sister to a famous newscaster. She's super friendly and loves children and animals. Sounds like the average good girl down the street no? 

This lovely lady's name sounds something like Angie (not sure). But she's the nurse for the town and younger sister to who looks to be the mayor for this town! (Yikes! Don't play this young girl's poor heart or you'll be tossed in jail!)

Whats a village with only potential marriage candidates and rival farmers? A place filled with chaos is one (slighted lovers and rivals.. eeps!). So there are villagers too. So far, there is only mention of one and she's a nice old lady who's image was on Famitsu: 

Seems friendly enough. 

Now of course there is also the aforementioned mayor? Of this town. This time she's a woman, and she looks like she means business! No more soft-nosed Theodore! 

Now that's all the information that I've found browsing the web and the ones that I can remember from the back of my mind. This game is due to be released sometime in 

February 2014 in Japan (they always get it so early -pout-) and for us American gamers, we can hope and dream that Natsume will cut to the chase and release it within the following year!

The game is quiet splendid except for its slow start and I hope all of you guys, fans or not will give it a try.

Rune Factory Frontier: First 5 Days

I'm sure you guys have read Izzy's first play through and thoughts on Rune Factory Frontier. He's as sarcastic as ever but I think its good since he's relatively new to the series and I am not. I'll go into my views of the game now :D

This game has a lot of details like all the Rune Factory games. Its very strange though because in most Rune Factory games, the games tend to start off with most of the characters introduced. This one, on the other hand, starts off with only a handful and you can't meet them all in the course of one day. In fact, even the locals aren't accessible until you accept a Quest by good old Stella, the church nun.

The game starts with the main character, Raguna, wandering around looking for his friend Mist. Honestly, I don't think that's the only reason but if you have played the first game, he does owe a lot to the turnip loving gal. Upon finding her, she coerces him into living on a farm next door. Series of events follow and you meet the locals. I personally have a crush on Erik. He's so damn fine! Sadly, my character has a pair that he also has.. and they don't seem to mesh well together. -sigh-

yes, I'm going to make his picture that big. He's just too good to pass. Now there are little things in this game that I really love. The characters, as always have spunk. And for the first time, you are given the option to woo a girl who is chubby! Eunice is a darling and she seems sweet and kind. Mist is as strange as ever and mumbles in her own happy way that seems to leave Raguna speechless. No, I'm not kidding, he really has nothing to say in response... she really is a weird gal. But I like her a lot cause she's adorable. I don't normally like main character girls but her, I'll stand.
 But my favorite girl is Anette! She comes into this game as the mail delivery girl and runs around with monsters chasing her! She loves mail and she's really into exercise! In fact, I let the creepy stalker within me chase her around town and found that I wasn't the only one vying for her affections. Danny, the next local hottie was after her too. What will I do?!?!

But the mail delivery systems is how you go about doing quests and you find out a lot about the characters when you read the letters. Also when you follow Annette around, despite the creepiness of it, you can find out about the characters as well through what Annette shouts when she delivers the mail. Previous characters from the other games come into mention and you realize how closely tied this one is to the other.

In the first five days, I was also able to unlock Melody and Lara from the original Rune Factory. Melody is a witchy dressed girl that gives you a hammer and hot springs to cure your body daily for the awesome price of 10G and Lara comes with a scolding for working yourself too hard. But she's pretty and smart and nice so I'm sure Raguna didn't mind all that much! You also get to meet Rosetta pretty early on. She's a darling and she tries so hard to compete with the main girl, Mist, that she holds a special place in my heart. But make sure that you don't ship only weeds cause then her displeasure will show!

Also in this game, there is a HUGGEE lake called Lake Polis. Its so huge I didn't bother exploring it just yet. I haven't settled into my farm and no steady income is coming as of yet, so I'll hold off on that till I can have more security and some monsters working the field.

 Honesty not much was accomplished in this game just yet. The feel is the same as the others and only time will tell. The story goes that there is  giant whale who doesn't have much time yet before he can't float anymore and fall upon the little town below. Raguna is trying to help of course through the assitance of Mist but Izzy already went into that. There is something about the 12 Maidens as well, but I'm not too sure what its significance is just yet. I'm excited for this game and the wonderful things are to come with it. :D

Harvest Moon A New Beginning Pre-Order Revealed!

Natsume has finally unveiled the Pre-Order gift for the Harvest Moon: A New Beginning! Guess what it is this time around?

A Plushie YAK!!!

Isn't it simply adorably, and you just want to squish it and hug it and let it be in your arms forever and ever?!?! I know for sure that I do! Pre-Order Harvest Moon A New Beginning to get this loveable critter in your plushie collection! As for when the the game will actually be released, we have yet to find out. All we have on is that Natsume is sure it'll be released this year. That means within 6 months guys! Fingers crossed and hope its not the 31st of December D:

Newer Characters!!!

Okay guys!! As I have promised, I'm going to show you guys the newest characters, and by doing so complete the bachelors and bachorlette's list of characters. I'll put up the towns people up next! If you guys want to see the older characters and see how your character will look like, just look through the blog and they should pop up!

For the girls, they uploaded the two newest marriage candidates. The witch princess is back guys!! And she looks great in this version. I'm even thinking of marrying her!!

Gorgeous right? I'm actually thinking of marrying this one, which is crazy cause I never really want tomarry the special characters... Well I did want to marry witch princess in Sunshine Island and DS as well as Alisa in Sunshine Islands.. but whatever.. that's not the real point. 

NOw the other girl character they revieled... I don't really know her name, but she looks adorable with her red hair and glasses. I love glasses!! 

Yup! And now for lastly, remember the dashing prince from a far away land back in Grand Bazaar? He's back in this game! And you can marry him! 

And with him, comes the royal finish of the entire list of marriagable characters in harvest moon. I wonder if the American version, if they don't like what they named the characters, get angry when the character returns.... well this time around, I like the girls a lot better than I like the guys. In Twin Village, I actually liked them equally, so I had to play both. This time, I only like the design of one guy, the Blondie, and I don't even know if I'll like his personality. I really like the short haired girl's design, the Witch's design... well when the game finally hits America, we'll see for sure. On the bright side, the game is out in japan! That means in a month or two, videos are start going to get posted online. Oh why oh why oh why!?!? can't I read japanese TT_TT

Land of Origins Basics

Hello guys! I  know it has been a while, and I have been extremely occupied so I haven't been able to post anything new. But from my older posts, you guys know about the game Land of Origins!! RIGHT?!! So I will do what a good Harvest Moon Fan does, and post up all the Bachelors and Bachelorettes that exist for that game. No main character though, cause you make your own main characters remember?!?! -squeal-

So here are the girls that are out so far!!

I really like the last girl. She's so cute! I already chose her for my guy character to marry! No I am not a lesbian!!  Now for the swuavvy bachelors!

For the bachelors, I like the last guy's design best. I actually don't like getting with "Vaughn" type of characters, but he looks the best from all the Bachelors so I chose him. At least last time the other characters were pretty decent too, even though Cam obvious looked the best (once again). I personally loved Ash :D

Now I'm going to show you guys some videos. These are the two videos uploaded on the official Marvelous AQL site. It shows the different options of the characters (though briefly). I hope you guys enjoy it and it heightens your anticipation for it as well!

All Harvest Moon 3DS stuff!

Hey guys!

I'm so sorry for the late bit of news as of late. I've been super tied down with real life problems and anything virtual related, I haven't been able to touch for the past week and a half. I'm so sorry, but at the same time super excited! I have some good news and some bad news. I'll start with the bad news first. If you guys remember, I told you guys last post that the Harvest Moon First Earth/Land of Origin has been announced by Marvelous AQ (their new name). Well apparently it was supposed to be released during the end of 2011, but now its going to be released in Japan around Feb 2012. My bad:

 It got pushed back a good ways, but its still in the workings! In fact, I have a video for you guys. It shows how the crop system works, the basic animals, the feel of the game, the graphics capabilities and two of the characters. It seems beautiful and is definately the most pretty Harvest Moon game on a hand held yet.

It seems great and I'm definitely excited! Wait.. hm.. this actually seems like good news.. but its bad cause the date got pushed back. Well some news is better than no, so I guess I should have said I have good news for you guys only. Well you got to see a cool video, so I know I'm not complaining!

Now the other bit of news is this. Apparently the 3DS version for the Tale of Two Towns is going to finally have a set release date. We were all bummed when we heard that our 3DS copy wasn't going to come out with the DS version and no news came out for a while. Well, if you guys haven't read my twitter update (which I did in class.. haha.. I hope my teacher isn't mad at me for it) it now has a set release date!!!

What is it guree?!?! Stop stalling! you say? Okay, I'll shout it out for you! Its:

November 1st 2011!!!

That's right! Only another good 12 more days to go.. well actually almost 11 days.. if I'm doing my math right. Its late and I'm sorry if I'm off by a day or two! So if you guys somehow defeated Rune Factory Tides of Destiny as well as Harvest Moon Tale of Two Towns DS version then here's your other game to anticipate. I personally didn't get to go that far with Tale of Two Towns because my schedule won't let me, but I try to sneak every bit of time I can on it. As for my Rune Factory Tides of Destiny... I still haven't picked it up yet... haha. Or if you didn't get a plushie last time with your DS copy, maybe you'll get one with your 3DS one copy! (I certainly hope so!)

Rune Factory Tides of Destiny OUt!!

Rune Factory Tides of Destiny came out just yesterday, Friday, Oct 08 2011!!!


Thats right, the game is ALREADY OUT!!!

so rush on over to the nearest gamestop and go and pick up your copy! This game is both for the wii and the ps3! I've only put the ps3 cover right here, but pick up which ever one you want and go all out with it!

Harvest Moon 3DS aka First Earth is Announced!

That's right folks! The 3DS version for Harvest Moon got announced just today! It appears the title is now called Harvest Moon: First Earth. Here's the Japanese logo.

Why only the Japanese logo you ask? Well, it got announced by Famitsu and its only so far in Japan. In fact its not even out yet, and the website has practically nothing on it. Well there you have it. From a blog that i read, it seems that this harvest moon is going to be more focused on changing your appearance and moving your stuff around. You can actually pick the design of you're own character... kind of like how you get to design your character before playing an MMORPG. Its going to be heavily influenced for custimizing. Items, clothes, your house and of course romance and the dating game is still there too! oh and i know you can change your hair.. maybe like Animal Crossing!.... I knw personally I cant wait! So far, it has the ambigious release date of: Early 2012 in Japan only!

well hopefully that means America isn't that far off!
